DONE.
This time I used 2 Four Packs so I could fit the 'Heart Box' of Chocolates. Use clear packing tape to stabilize the cases and they are to be used as balloon base, or travel with. I didn't wrap in cellophane because I didn't have any on hand at the time. I added Bubbles and Stickers with the cute candies!!
We use the Cream Soda to make Floats after we {as a family} opened the gift...see what I did, multi-taskin!!
This family 'Crush' soda gift is actually a throwback and a remix on my original post, an alternative to an Easter Basket in which I share my first {Message n' a Bottle} Easter related grape Crush Soda Gift....way back in the day when I rarely blogged, as a hobby. And I mean rarely, like once a YEAR lol. Back when my small kids were very, very young and almost...well newborn. So that just tells you why I couldn't really blog at that time:) and I didn't know what 'blogging' was. I had just really shared it to my friends and fam. Since then, boy have things changed around here since our kids have gotten a little older!
This gift project is pretty self explanatory, yet here's how I did it just in case I can help:)
Step 1:
Buy and gather your supplies, you can find everything at your local retail, grocery store, and dollar store. Cellophane can be found in wrapping paper, cards, gift bag isle.
Step 2:
'Stuff' your six pack of soda with Valentine's Day snacks and goods. Use glue dots or tape to keep your snacks from shifting inside of gift packaging. This is helpful if you are taking your gift somewhere, this ensures all the goodies are visible under the cellophane and don't fall down into case. To make the Valentines DIY Heart Lollipops yourself head over to thispost here.
Step 3:
Print out your FREE Valentines DayPrintables {use link} with card stock, for best results,....but you can still use regular printer paper too:) if that is what you have on hand! Use those printables to decorate your straws, bottles, and lollipops. You can also use the bottle printables for cupcake toppers instead or in addition if you are making cupcakes for an event.
Step 4:
Wrap it up in cellophane wrap if big enough, if not, wrap individually and then tape the base of the soda cases together. This only needs to be done if using as a balloon base and/or traveling with it to gift someone. Tie with a beautiful luxurious ribbon and add a gift tag for your Crush on the outside! The straw flags also have cute saying on them about 'Crush' to go with the theme of the soda pack.
And it's a perfect functional weight for your bouquet of balloons as well so you wont need to buy the concrete piece wrapped in shiny paper...
Brighten someone's cloudy day, Valentine's Day, Galentine's Day with this idea!!
Original person to make a 'sixpack' soda post in Blogland, maybe you remember seeing it. I know a lot of people made their own version after I posted this.
LOL and if I remember at the time, I was one of the first people to also post a quad of pictures...actual original picture above. I was already accustomed to making collages for my work and I wondered why more people weren't doing that in link parties {circa 2013}. I think Picnic was the free software then {instead of Canva/ Picmonkey}, if not using Photoshop. Again, this was back a long time ago...but wow has blogging come a long way since then. Now collages are an everyday thing and a standard in blogging.
Here is a quick and easy recipe for a strawberry smoothie using an old time favorite 'Strawberry Nesquik' Sweetheart Smoothie. This smoothie is a fresh delicious twist to the original strawberry drink and yet still has that familiar and nostalgic flavor!
Pour a handful about 1 Cup of Strawberries (I used frozen), next add 1 cut up banana, then add 3 Tablespoons Strawberry Nesquik, and finally pour 1 Cup Milk.
Step 2:
Blend on medium 10 seconds, then high for 15 seconds. Adjust the amount of milk and amount of Strawberry Nesquik to create the consistency and flavor of your preference.
Step 3:
Serve in large glass with straw. Add whipped cream and a strawberry on top for fun. Enjoy!
Enjoy, and please leave a comment below if you have questions.

Valentine's Day is coming to town! No worries when it comes to creative gift giving, here is an easy 'Cinnabon' Cinnamon Bun scented DIY Massage Oil using pure essential oils for you and your honey bun! I wanted to share a quick and simple gift idea you can make for the approaching holiday that was fun and affordable to make. You can use things around the house and from your local health food store. Did you know that certain Essential Oils have a natural aphrodisiac effect to them and that makes an excellent idea for a relaxing massage oil, lol yes...they have oils for that too. I prefer things that smell like baked goods so naturally I created something to make one smell like a 'Cinnabon'...and who doesn't appreciate the smell of freshly baked cinnamon buns. You can opt to make the traditional liquid version of massage oil or the whipped version, both are available below:)
Natural Aphrodisiac in a jar! Try it this Valentine's Day...
Other essential oils scents you can use to create romance in the air are:
Ginger | Jasmine | Rose | Sandalwood | Orange | Yland Ylang | Cedarwood
Get creative with it:) experiment with different single oils until you find one you like.
