How rad is this?!? Skateboard Bunny Peep Treats For those of you that are regular readers of SWEET HAUTE and follow along on Instagram, then you are aware that my kids are *amazing* SKATERs, lol j/k but they are great....honestly legit skater kids. We are so proud of them and their determination at such a young age. They started when he was 2-3 years old and by the time he turned 5 they were pros. It only took them a day or two to get over the fear dropping in and learned to skate a large half pipe. They had great pro skateboard instructors and awesome equipment to practice on in the US and in Japan.

So with my son in mind, I created these RAD Peep Skateboard Bunnies Peep Treats for Easter and I totally made it with inexpensive things we already had on hand. The only things I had to purchase were the eggs and peeps. We had all the sprinkles, lifesavers, cookies, and frosting...
I chose the orange and purple to make them more 'dude' friendly instead of pink bunnies...yet we still did purple because my husband hails from LSU (Louisiana State University) in the South and he's always about that purple and gold.

This is a cool idea to get the kids involved in the kitchen, teach them about gravity while you're at it! I always make 'food crafts' because they are fun and whimsical, inexpensive, easy for kids, and they are temporary {we don't need storage for them}. These are great if you do not have storage for a lot of decorations for every single holiday season.

Skater Bunny Peep Treats

Purple bunnies on skateboard....yes!

Supplies:

Bunny Peeps

Milano Cookies

  -skateboard

Lifesavers

  -wheels

Skittles

  -wheel covers

Royal Frosting
  -royal frosting is different from traditional frosting. It is rock solid, sturdy, and durable!

Sprinkles

Malted Eggs

Step 1:

Make a small batch of Royal Frosting, you do not need too much since it's just for gluing everything on wheels and skateboard.

Step 2:

Create the wheels first out of Lifesavers and Skittles candies. Let them all dry over night, or at least for a few hours.

Step 3:

Assemble Peep Skaters and boards. 'Glue' wheels with Royal Frosting upright and let dry on the Milano Cookies. 'Glue' Bunny Peeps on top of board. Set aside to dry.

Step 4:

Don't forget to decorate the skateboards with sprinkles and malted milk Easter egg candies.

Display. Serve. Enjoy:)

St. Patrick's Lime Green Milk + Free Printable Leprechaun Mustache

St. Patrick's Lime Green Milk + Free Printable

Make your own Lime Green Milk for St. Patrick's Day Breakfast this year. You can make green eggs and ham with 'Lime Green' Milk...just serve it with eggs and bacon.

This is a cute idea for the kid's breakfast this weekend or the morning of St. Patrick's Day.

You can even get the kids involved in the kitchen to prep these totally cool milks!

I've included a FREE Printable Green 'Leprechaun' Mustache to decorate your straws, this will most certainly make for a memorable St. Patrick's Day morning!

 St. Patrick's Day Lime Green Milk + FREE Printable

Supplies:

Milk

1 Tablespoon Lime Jello Powder

Straw
Whipped Cream

Scissors

Paper

Step 1:

Pour Milk into large cold glass. For smaller glasses use less Jello Powder.

Step 2:

Add 1 tablespoon of Lime Jello Powder to the milk and stir until combined and smooth.

Step 3:

Print out Green Mustaches and cut a opening at the top of mustache and bottom of mustache and thread the straw through.

Step 4:

Top lime green milk with Whipped Cream.

Serve immediately.

Green Mustache FREE Printable

You can cut them out with either printer paper or card stock but I merely did mine with printer paper and made them into rectangles so that the mustaches didn't get 'curly'. It's really humid where I live so I do not like the paper to become warped.

These can also be cut into a oval shape if you want a rounded look, then thread the straw through.
Then of course you can cut them exactly out in the shape of cute mustaches, but I wanted to share my time saver tips and 'curly' paper tips.

This milk actually is sort of refreshing because of the Lime flavor, and the kids really loved it!

DIY Jingle Bell Wreath Decor

Mommy Dearest would be so proud that we are getting the wire hangers out of our closets to make these amazing wreaths of jingle joy! And since my name is Christina,...well then I guess I will be Christina Darling for this project...:) DIY Jingle Bell Wreath

Who knew a wire hanger could look so good:)
 

 No wire hangers....!
Wanted four, found three, made the fourth.
 Similar Macy's hack and an upcycle.

A Macy's hack and an up-cycle. Upcycled two wreaths with ribbon, hacked a similar Macy's wreath to make a diy option. 

 I just love red and white candy cane stripes:)

Supplies:

Wire Hanger

Jingle Bells w/ loop- Large
    - different sizes
    - glitter {optional}
    - paint {optional}

Ribbon red and white stripe

Command Hooks

   or Over-the-door Wreath Holder
String or Wire {optional}

Hot Glue Gun {optional}

Step 1:

Paint and glitter your jingle bells if you were not able to find colored bells. Let dry.

Step 2: Unbend your wire hanger and shape it into a circle. Try not to un-crimp the very ends, we will use that part to connect wreath....it hooks together nicely when you leave it as is.

Step 3:

Thread your bells on through the mental loop on the top. If you have different shapes, make a beautiful pattern. Match each bell with the same size and color, thread them right up on top of each other so that it shows the same pattern on each side.

Rotate the cross section of the bell for every 2 that you put on. Face 2 up, then face 2 out.

Step 4:

Optional wire/secure top of wreath closed or just twist wire hanger with some pliers. 

Step 5:

Add a beautiful ribbon and hang to display.

I hope you liked this wreath, I made one of them sized for the smaller windows and or the kitchen door to go with ones I already had.
They look great, especially with the red and white ribbon detail....
