Pink Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes Tutorial:
This is a tutorial about how to make your own DIY Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes shaped like ice creams but cupcakes for your next pink inspired theme party, or holiday. These are made with pink color ice cream cones and decorated with edible pink glitter, so these would go great with Valentines Day, Baby Shower party food, or a girl's Birthday celebration just beautifully! My daughter was so excited to help in the kitchen with this project, she especially loved the eye catching gleaming pink edible glitter....well of course!

Supplies:

Cake Batter (boxed)
    -eggs, according to instructions
    -oil, "
    -water, "
Cupcake Pan(s)
Baking Spray Oil
Frosting
Decorations/ Edible Glitter

Step 1:

Pre-heat the oven. Gather ingredients to make the cupcake batter, either from box mix or from scratch.

Step 2:

Spray each section of the cupcake pan with baking spray oil. Once you've prepared your batter, add 1/4 cup batter to each cupcake section in pan.

Step 3:

Once cupcake batter is evenly distributed, carefully place 1 ice cream cone on top of the surface of batter. Do NOT press cone into cupcake batter.

Step 4:

Bake as instructed on box, or for what recipe calls for.

Step 5:

Let cupcakes cool completely before removing from the cupcake pan. I used an end of a spatula to leverage each cupcake out if it wasn't easily removable.

Step 6:

Frost cupcakes so that the top looks like an ice cream shape. If the cupcakes are a tad over center, just frost them into a straight looking shape.

Step 7:

Decorate with edible glitter, sanding sugars, or sprinkles!!

Here is what I used for the edible glitter and the pink frosting if you want to achieve that same effect for the cupcakes. The rest I just used a cream cheese flavored white frosting and sprinkled the same pink edible glitter. Be careful, because sometime pre-colored frosting does NOT taste good and children will potentially become sick with tummy ache. Choose a good tasting frosting or make it at home from scratch.

This one is shown decorated with clear sanding sugar and the edible glitter. It is not too sweet and the sanding sugar can also be used on top of muffins and sweet breads! Hope you like this tutorial and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for visiting!!

 Enjoy!
