Horchata Drink Recipe: Horchata is a traditional Hispanic sweet drink, usually made of ground almond or rice and it. is. DREAMY! So now it is time to make your own homemade delicious drink!
This is one of my favorite drinks to make, it is very nostalgic to me for when I was growing up, many summers were filled with memories that included this particular drink. Make your own DIY, it is so easy and you don't have to find the nearest hispanic bakery or restaurant to get it any longer! Try it, you will definitely like it.
Supplies:
1. Milk (I use 2%)
2. Condensed Milk (I use fat free)
3. Almond Flour
4. Vanilla Extract
5. Cinnamon
6. Coconut Rum (optional)
I make it without the alcohol all the time, my family LOVES this drink!!

Recipe Ingredients:
Serves 8- 1 Pitcher
8 Cups of Milk
2 Cans of Condensed Milk
1 Cup Almond Flour
4 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1 Cup Coconut Rum
Garnish with Cinnamon

Here is showing the mixture once the Almond Flour is added to the milk in the first step.
Step 1:
Pour milk into mixing bowl, slowly add in the condensed milk until it is dissolved into the milk and combine to make a smooth consistency.
Step 2:
Next, stir in the Almond Flour. Stir the vanilla extract in.Step 3:
Then, add in coconut rum if you are making the 21+ version. Pour into a tall glass over ice or crushed ice.Step 4:
Finally, garnish the top with sprinkles of cinnamon, slide in a straw and ENJOY!!!!
Shown here is the garnish topping off the finished product.
This luxurious drink will not disappoint. Especially if you like condensed milk and vanilla.

I LOVE horchata but have never tried to make it myself. I suppose I should, since I'm sure it's better than the packaged version you can buy at the grocery store, huh? :)
