Cookie Spoons with Wilton

Look at these scrumptious cookies I made, they are great for parties either at home, the office, or at school. They are the perfect size to bite into and are not too sweet either. I saw this Wilton Cookie Spoons Pan and I decided to try it out and then review it. The outside wrapper of the cookie sheet features a sugar cookie recipe on the back in case you do not have a recipe on hand.

Bright and Cheery...just the way I like it:)
Sweet!

Supplies:
Large Bowl
Electric Mixer
Cookie Spoons Pan
Butter
Sugar
Egg
Vanilla Extract
Flour
Salt
Non-stick Spray
Parchment/ Wax Paper
Frosting / Candy Coating
Sprinkles

 Let's get baking:)
Wilton's Sugar Cookie Recipe:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1.5 cups granulated sugar
1 egg
1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
Temp: 350F
Bake: 9-10min
Yields: 2 dozen

Step 1:
Pre-heat oven to 350F.

Step 2:
Take your soften butter {make sure to soften it} and sugar and beat it together with the electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.

Step 3:
Beat in the egg and the Vanilla extract.

Step 4:
Combine in the Flour and the Salt until blended.

Step 5:
Spray cookie sheet pan with non-stick spray and press dough into each spoon cavity. IMPORTANT: do not fill cavity to the brim....only fill 2/3rd of the way up to top so cook has room to expand.

You don't want this result.
Step 6:
Bake in oven for 9-10, varies per your oven heat.

Step 7:
Cool for 10 minutes after oven, then flip over and tap lightly to remove cookies.

 Not perfect, yet better.
Step 8:
Frost with frosting and add sprinkles OR warm up some candy coating and add sprinkles. Whatever is easier for you:)

I hope that you have enjoyed this post and the images. The key lesson I learned is that I shouldn't have filled the spoon cavities to the brim, I unknowingly did that being that I am not a pastry chef, and cookies just came out extra big and had an extra 'edge' crust to them...you can still use them but if you're looking for perfection, then only fill 2/3rd of the way up.
